The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions made via any website published by Forward Metals Ltd. We politely ask you to read them carefully - it is in your best interest to do so. The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have.

These Terms may be amended at any time by Forward Metals Ltd. They may also be extended to include other conditions applicable to specific goods or services offered by Forward Metals Ltd. from time to time. It is your responsibility to read these Terms before placing an order.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

Payment and Price

Credit/Debit Card Security

When an order is placed through our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption and all orders are taken through a secure SSL server. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

VAT

All prices posted on the website are currently inclusive of VAT at the current rate of 15%.

Payment

We accept payment through Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, American Express, Discover and PayPal Express Checkout. We also accept cheques or postal orders but please understand that if you wish to pay by this method, we cannot dispatch any items until payment has been cleared.

If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post. Please use our contact page.

Price and Stock

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit/debit card or PayPal account to the value of the incorrect price (including delivery fees and any other charges made at time of ordering).

Free Cutting Service

  • Our free cutting service is intended for a customer to get one of our standard sizes down to a length/dimension they require which can usually be attained in one or two cuts. However, if you require many cuts, we can often accommodate within reason but ask that you contact us firstly to discuss your requirements.
  • When cutting metal bar, due to saw blade widths each cut causes a small loss of material from the length (about 4mm). Therefore if you're needing a length cut into many equal pieces, please take this into consideration for the final cut length. This does not apply to sheet or plate.
  • We endeavour to cut accurately but please note that being a stockist, we offer a standard tolerance of +/-3mm. If you need greater accuracy, please let us know.

Description of Goods

All images and description of items are for the purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods although we strive to be as accurate as is possible.

Risk

As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk.

Please remember to inspect the condition and quantity of your package/goods before signing for them. Claims for missing or damaged products will be rejected if they have been signed for "Received in GOOD CONDITION". In the event that goods are returned to us because they were not signed for we will not be liable for any loss sustained by you and we will contact you to arrange payment by you for a further carriage charge before we are obliged to attempt to redeliver the items to you.

Time Limitation for Notification of Claims

  • Damage in transit: If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must, if delivered by carrier or recorded delivery, make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us by email to via our contact us page within 7 days from delivery.
  • Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier's delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us by email via our contact us page within 7 days from delivery.
  • Incorrect Items: It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect items within 7 days from delivery by contacting us.
  • Non-Deliveries: We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 7 days from the expected delivery date by our contact page or via telephone on 0121 788 8030. If goods returned under this clause are found to be perfect and in saleable order, these will be returned to you and an administration fee of 15% of the price of the goods along with the cost of carriage will be charged to your credit/debit card or PayPal account.
  • Damaged/defective Goods: Items that are deemed damaged or defective can be returned for replacement or credit. Faulty goods can be returned up to 14 working days following receipt of order. Please inform us stating 'damaged goods' as the subject, including all order details within the correspondence.

Privacy Policy

Be assured that we do not store or maintain any credit/debit card details electonically or using any other medium. We respect any personal information which we may have access to through any credit/debit card or PayPal transaction such as your address, email and telephone number, and do not seek to sell or share this information with any 3rd party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' (in Internet Explorer) and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.

Data collected by this site is used to:

  • Take and fulfil customer orders.
  • Administer and enhance the site and service.
  • Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes.
