Pricing
We use 3 main delivery services to get your package to you:
- Royal Mail First Class - 1 to 2 working days (non-guaranteed)
- Royal Mail Standard Parcels - 3 to 5 working days (non-guaranteed)
- Courier - 1 to 2 working days (non-guaranteed)
The shipping method and price is dependent on the size/weight of your package and will be shown to you prior to checkout.
You may wish to book a special shipping service such as a morning delivery, Saturday delivery, or a guaranteed time slot delivery. If this is the case, please contact us before purchase to arrange a service.
Dispatch Time

We aim to dispatch your package within 3 working days of receipt of your order. In total, please allow up to 5 working days for arrival of your package (unless your item is being delivered by Royal Mail standard Parcels option which may take longer). However, many of our items are sent much quicker and often arrive within 2/3 working days of ordering.
Please be aware that unless if you have contacted us to arrange a special delivery, our courier service does not deliver Saturday or Sunday. Therefore any Friday dispatch will not be delivered until Monday at the earliest.
If you feel you have allowed adequate time for delivery and you have still not received your package, or indeed if there are any other delivery problems at all, please do not hesitate to let us know - we're a friendly bunch!
Our Return Policy
You may return all items purchased from Forward Metals Ltd. within 14 days after delivery has taken place. However, we will only accept returned items if we have supplied the wrong size, type or quantity to that of which you ordered, or if the item is damaged or defective. This is because our 'no minimum order' quantities of metal are cut to your size from our standard sizes. Therefore, we kindly ask that you always make sure that the dimensions of the metal you wish to order are exactly what you require as errors due to incorrect customer specification cannot not covered by our returns policy.
We will pay the return shipping costs if the item is defective/damaged, the wrong item or a sizing error on our part. We will credit you in the same manner as your original payment within 7 days of receiving the returned item.
As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk.
Please remember to inspect the condition and quantity of your package/goods before signing for them. Claims for missing or damaged products will be rejected if they have been signed for "Received in GOOD CONDITION". In the event that goods are returned to us because they were not signed for we will not be liable for any loss sustained by you and we will contact you to arrange payment by you for a further carriage charge before we are obliged to attempt to redeliver the items to you.
Time Limitation for Notification of Claims
- Damage in transit: If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must, if delivered by carrier or recorded delivery, make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us by email to via our contact us page within 7 days from delivery.
- Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier's delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us by email via our contact us page within 7 days from delivery.
- Incorrect Items: It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect items within 7 days from delivery by email or telephone via our contact us page.
- Non-Deliveries: We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 7 days from the expected delivery date through our contact page or via telephone on 0121 788 8030. If goods returned under this clause are found to be perfect and in saleable order, these will be returned to you and an administration fee of 15% of the price of the goods along with the cost of carriage will be charged to your credit/debit card or PayPal account.
- Damaged/defective Goods: Items that are deemed damaged or defective can be returned for replacement or credit. Faulty goods can be returned up to 14 working days following receipt of order. Please inform us by via our contact us page stating 'damaged goods' as the subject, including all order details within the correspondence.
